Getting Started

LOGGING IN
To log into iBuddz go to www.ibuddz.com and enter your username and password. If you have forgotten your password simply click on the “Forgot Password” link and you will be asked for the email address you used to register. Your password will be sent to the email address for you to retrieve it.

The Desktop (Fig. 1)
Once you enter your username (email address) and password you will be re-directed to the iBuddz desktop. The iBuddz desktop is rich media interface that organizes and control how you view various media including songes, videos, Internet Radio, and web pages. All that is required to us it is an Internet browser like Firefox or Microsoft's Internet Explorer. No software to download or install. The desktop has six areas.

Short Cuts – These are the various applications that the iBuddz desktop can use; Each in integrated into the other application. You change how these applications work by using the Preference applications.
iBuddz App - Once you click on a short cut you will see a window popup. An example of this is when you click on the Radio Browser. In this example (Fig.8) the Radio Browser, with over 15,000 internet radio stations, is displayed. Notice how you can move each of the iBuddz app windows anywhere on the desktop; it becomes semi-transparent so you can see the other windows you have open.
Web Page Window - You can open as many windows as you would like in the desktop. In this example (Fig. 1) the second window is a Facebook window which you can use to see your Facebook page. Note: Social networking sites like Facebook or Twitter are integrated into the iBuddz desktop and we will show how posts can be sent and received from all your social networks.
Friend Finder – With the Friend Finder Application you can see which of your friends are login in, what/where they are logged in, and easily IM/Chat to them. You can also use Friend Finder to mass invite your friends from over 45 sources like GMAIL, Microsoft Outlook, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and many more. Expand your iBuddz community quickly and share the fun!
Channel Icon – You can always tell which channel you are on by looking at the top right-hand portion of the desktop. Easy to use, change the channel as often as you like. Listen/view with limited interruptions. Player still plays when minimized. Channels load quickly and jitter/shutter less than through the site directly. (Hulu shows finish on average 8 minutes faster through iBuddz then directly through the web)
Status - At the bottom of the desktop you will see all the iBuddz apps you have open at anytime. You can click on any app and it will automatically be displayed on the desktop.

Friend Finder (Fig. 2)
Invites - The Friend Finder Invite tool allows you to increase your social network fast by automating the process of inviting all your friends from over 45 different sources like GMAIL, Microsoft Outlook, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and many more.

Select Social Network - Select which one of over 45 different social networking communities or email sources you want to import your friends from. Enter your username and password (We never store your Password) and a list of you friends will be automatically imported into area 2.
Import Friends - You can review the list automatically imported and select the individuals you want to invite to your iBuddz channel.
Add Message - Add you own personal message to your friends to welcome them to your iBuddz channel.

Social Networking (Fig. 3)
Use the Social Networking tool to keep in touch with ALL of your social networks from one place. The iBuddz Social Networking toll supports over 64 social networks like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and many more.

View Real-Time Message - The real-time Social Networking message panel allows you to see the incoming message, blogs or status updates from ALL of your social networks.
Select Message Type - You can set the type of message you want to send: Blog, Message or Status update.
Select Social Networks - You can select the specific social networking sites you want to update. We support over 60 social networking sites including the most popular sites like Facebook, MySpace, and Twitter. Simply check the sites you want to update and the message will be sent to each of them.
Add Title- Add a title for your message, blog or status update.
Add Message - Enter the text for your message, blog or status update.
Preveiw - You can preview what your message will look like before you send it.

Chat and IM (Fig. 4)
The Friend Finder Chat/IM tool allows you to communicate with your friends in real-time. They can eve leave you a message if you off-line and your will receive it once you log back in.

Send Message - Type the text message you wish to send.
Receive Message - View response of your friends.

Add/Find a Friend (Fig. 5)

Enter Email - Find friend by email address
Enter Name - Find friend by name,/li>
Matching Names - List of friends from your search request
Find Contact Button - The “Find Contact” and Add Contact” buttons.

Avatar (Fig. 6)

Select Avatar - Choose an Avatar from the many images provided.
Save - Just click and save. (Change it as often as you like.)

Preferences (Fig. 7)

Short Cuts - Add or remove various iBuddz social applications from your personalized desktop.
Auto Run - Start of stop various iBuddz social applications from automatically starting during login to your personalized desktop
Quick Start
Windows Color And Appearance - Change the color and other "Look and Feel" components your personalized desktop.
Desktop Backgrounds Change the wallpaper on your personalized desktop.

Radio Browser (Fig. 8)
The Radio Browser allows you to organize, find and play over 15,000 Internet Radio Stations.

Genres - All radio stations are organized into a genre folder so you can find them quickly. You can also create your own genres and add your own personal Internet Radio stations.
Radio Station Organizer - Each of the Internet Radio stations is listed in the Radio Station panel. You can change the radio station icons from Small to X-Large.
Play - To listen to any one of the radio station simply highlight it and then click on “Listen”. This brings up the media player box into the far right side of the screen. The radio station will begin playing in the audio/video player. The audio/video player has a full set of controls at the bottom so you can control the radio station playing. The audio/video player can also play streaming video. If you double click on the player it will expand to become full screen. Double clicking it again with return it to its normal size. NOTE; it cannot be moved or minimized.
Details - Details about the radio station will be shown in the Radio Station details panel.
DJ On-Air - If an iBuddz DJ is on-Air, you will see their information in the DJ Panel.

Media Browser (Fig. 9-12)

Channels - Select from a wide range of channels. New channels are being added all the time.
Results window - Displays the individual artists, songs, videos, films or web pages within the selected channel.
Media Wall - View media on a media wall with the thubmnails of each. iBuddz media wall is unique in that it can display and play various types of media including Internet Radio Stations, Videos, Films, Somgs and even web sites.
My Channels - Individual friends channel
Friend's Channels - See which channels and what media your friends have found and are listening to or videos thhey are view.
Friends Media Wall - View and share your freind's media.
Media Player - Play media from Channels, MyChannels ot Friend's Channel organizer.
Media Organizer - Select from.
Web Site - Actual Website window.

Artist Browser (Fig. 13-14)
The Artist Browser allows you to find artist and their songs quickly.

Artist’s picture - Each artist can upload their own pickture or album cover.
Artist Contact Information - Contact informations for the artists.
Artist Bio - Background of the artists.
Artist’s Albums - List of the artist's albums.
Artist’s Songs - List of each song on the album selcted. By clicking on the song you can call it. Controls are provied to alter the volume, fat forward, pause or replay the song.
Artist photo album. Photos of the artist that which to share.
